News Alert: Historic day in Northern Ireland as first nationalist leader sworn in

In a historic moment, a nationalist politician has become First Minister of Northern Ireland as power-sharing resumed after a two-year break.

Michelle O'Neill of the pro-united Ireland party Sinn Féin, once considered to be the political arm of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), vowed to be "a First Minister for all", in a social media post ahead of her swearing in, a nod to the province's Unionist community who favour remaining part of the United Kingdom.
